The 2019 Cincinnati Neighborhood Blitz Clean Up is coming to your neighborhood. It’s time for manicured lawns and the trash inside and out to be gone.

The Department of Public Services Neighborhood Operations Division is in the midst of its 2019 Neighborhood Blitz Clean Up. Below is an overview of what will be happening and the schedule. Alert your neighbors and get ready!

Public Services staff will contact neighborhood representatives three weeks before the scheduled dates. This will allow DPS to better coordinate resources and equipment, and Private Lot Abatement to aid the neighborhoods.

The Greenspace Crew will mow, trim and edge all DPS owned properties during the week. One dumpster (20 yards) will be delivered to each neighborhood and be emptied daily.

The following items are “NOT” permitted in the dumpster:

·         Tires (stack outside dumpster) ·         Hazardous Waste Materials
·         Liquids of any kind     ·         Appliances w/Freon
·         Propane Tanks           ·         Lacquers/Thinners
·         Helium Tanks ·         Gas Cans
·         Paints ·         Oils

There will be a roving trash truck circulating through the West End servicing all corner cans and collecting excessive trash and illegal dumped items. Please remember, this is not another trash collection day.

Staff will be on foot litter picking main thoroughfares and heavily littered areas. The Private Lot Abatement Program (PLAP) allows staff to abate privately owned properties that have been cited for little, high grass and overgrown brush violations. Staff will notify the community the week before blitz begins.

*Street sweeping will be done in accordance with the street sweeping schedule.
