Chico’s Cheesecakes is a Black-owned dessert company. Owned by Jasmine L. Williams, Chico’s offers classic cheesecake, cheesecake jars, cheesecake brownies and other desserts. All desserts are handmade at Findlay Kitchen, a commercial space in partnership with Findlay Market.
Chico’s Cheesecakes’ name derives from the brilliant man who created its recipe: the owner’s grandfather, Maurice “Chico” Harrell. The African American bakery is featured as one of the best cheesecakes in Cincinnati by Yelp.
This African American dessert maker was also voted the number one birthday cake cheesecake from The Spruce Eats. Chico’s Cheesecakes creates an experience that leaves a lasting impression.

About the Owner
Jasmine L. Williams serves as the head pastry chef and CEO of Chico’s Cheesecakes. She has more than 20 years of experience baking cheesecakes. Williams continues the legacy of her grandfather one cheesecake at a time.
Williams received her Bachelor of Education from Central State University and Master of Business Administration from Savannah State University. She is also a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority.
