Junebug Jewelry Designs is a Black-owned line of jewelry that emphasizes the power and strength naturally inherent in every woman. Owned and designed by African American entrepreneur, Dawn L. Grady, this companyâs pop-up is frequently located in the heart of OTR just blocks from Washington Park near Downtown and The Westend.
Dawnâs handcrafted, wearable art statement pieces marry natural stones with copper and silver metal to deliver timeless pieces that are as bold as the women who wear them. She uses a variety of techniques â including metalsmithing, wire weaving and wire wrapping â to create pieces that truly speak for themselves and empower women to boldly rock their style.
When it comes to Junebug Jewelry, every piece is meticulously handcrafted by owner/designer Dawn Grady — from start to finish. She selects the ethically sourced gemstones and materials, designs each work of art, and has the final say on quality control. She has given and will continue to give every bit of herself to creating original, luxurious, and bold jewelry.
Junebug Jewelry Designs operates mainly through their website where you can shop all the latest jewelry styles, buy gift cards, meet Dawn and her inspiration behind the store, and even get a glimpse into the studio.
Though the company doesnât own a brick and mortar store, they frequently participate in pop-ups. The Junebug Pop-Up Jewelry Boutique is your chance to see this exquisitely handcrafted wearable art in person. Stop by and try on your favorite pieces. See for yourself how each was designed with both comfort and style in mind. The Pop-Up store is open through December 31. 2020. Hours of operation are Wednesday through Saturday, from noon to 6 p.m.
Designer Dawn Grady is always on hand to answer any questions you have about the materials used or the inspiration behind the piece. If you donât like to shop online and you canât wait for the next pop-up, Dawn also has a small collection featured in the Contemporary Art Centerâs gift shop in the heart of Downtown just blocks from Fountain Square.
