Just Jerk's Food Truck

Just Jerk’s Food Truck is a Black-owned food truck that specializes in authentic Jamaican Jerk Cuisine. Owned by African American couple Ashford and Alicia Hayles, this food truck travels all around the Greater Cincinnati Area.

Just Jerk’s has a variety of dishes available, which all come with jerk chicken or jerk pork such as various rice boxes, tacos, sandwiches and sliders many of which feature sautéed vegetables. The food truck also has a number of sides and add-ons to make your meal even more exciting. These include fried plantains, French fries, veggie French fries, loaded French fries, ginger beer, Pico de Gallo and slaw.

The food truck visits places and events around the city which can be followed on their website Along with shorter, smaller events, the food truck can also be found at places such as The Taste of Cincinnati and The Blue Ash Food Truck Festival.

Founded in September 2011, the truck’s brick and mortar predecessor, Ena’s Jerkmania, was located in Springdale, Ohio, and was the brainchild of Ms. Ena’s sons Marlon and Ashford Hayles. The family-owned and operated restaurant utilized the increasing popular fast casual dining model that provided customers with speedy, authentic, Jamaican Jerk cuisine. Ashford and his wife Alicia opened Ena’s Jerkmania to make premium Jerk fare readily available to the mass market.

In April 2014 Ena’s Jerkmania launched Just Jerks Enas Jamaican Grill food truck. Realizing the success of the Just Jerks food truck, the brick and mortar restaurant was converted to a commissary kitchen in September 2014. The Just Jerks food truck currently serves the Cincinnati and Dayton, Ohio market from March to November.

The commissary kitchen offers catering for both large and small groups alike. The catering menu offers even more options than the food truck menu which makes it a must-try at your next family party, fundraiser, or event.
