Qute Cosmetics, created by Tammy Westmoreland, is a Black-owned cosmetics online platform that helps to raise awareness for Cerebral Palsy. It is a fashionable way to raise awareness, fund research and give back to families affected by Cerebral Palsy, a condition that her late son D’Jonté was born with. After the loss of her son, she learned her purpose in life was to be the voice that her son never had.

Qute Cosmetics products are paraben-free, hypoallergenic, non-comedogenic, fragrance-free, and are free of all harsh chemicals. Also, they are not tested on animals. This Black-owned cosmetic line carries lipsticks, lipgloss, eyeshadow, blush, mascara, nail polish and much more.

Most noteworthy, Qute Cosmetics is a means for Westmoreland to give back to Cerebral Palsy foundations and organizations such as Stepping Stones of Ohio. The purchase of every Qute cosmetic is a contribution toward improving Cerebral Palsy treatments.

Qute cosmetic’s mission is to help others look and feel good while giving back to families that are affected by Cerebral Palsy and other disabilities. In the future, they plan to donate to other causes such as Breast Cancer, Sickle Cell, Down syndrome and Autism.

About Cerebral Palsy

Cerebral Palsy is a neurological disorder caused by a non-progressive brain injury or malformation that occurs while the child’s brain is under development. Cerebral Palsy primarily affects body movement and muscle coordination. Though Cerebral Palsy can be defining, having Cerebral Palsy does not define the person that has the condition.

Every year, Cerebral Palsy affects 764,000 Americans. According to the CDC, Cerebral Palsy affects 10,000 babies each year. With the exception of children born with a severe case, researchers consider Cerebral Palsy to be a non-life-threatening condition. Most children with Cerebral Palsy live well into adulthood.
