Rover The Rhine is a Black-owned, full-service veterinary hospital that practices preventative care, general surgeries, and dental care with everything you expect in the best veterinary hospital. Located in Over-the-Rhine (OTR), veterinarians and technicians at Rover the Rhine are compassionate and genuinely care about animal care.
Rover The Rhine is located on the corner of Race St. and 9th St downtown. The building is the host of the famous Fiona Mural. Some free parking is available, and plenty of public parking is on the block.
This Black-owned pet clinic includes a dental cleaning suite, radiology, surgical suites for dogs and cats, and everything in between. Diagnostic capabilities at this veterinary clinic include in-house blood and the latest laboratory instruments for internal medical diagnosis.
Rover The Rhine is partnered with a mobile ultrasound technician to provide the latest visualization diagnostics. Rover The Rhine is also set up to provide home delivery for prescription medicines, prescription diets, preventatives, first parasites, and other pet items.
About Dr. Catalan
Dr. Catalan (Dr. Cat) has been practicing in Cincinnati for over twenty years. She graduated from Howard University, earning her Bachelor of Science in zoology. Earning her doctorate in veterinary medicine from Michigan State University, Dr. Cat specializes in small animal preventive care and is a certified veterinary acupuncturist.
Dr. Cat opened her veterinary practice downtown to serve the growing downtown population. She was the first Black Veterinarian elected as the Cincinnati Veterinary Medical Association president in 2016.
