While students are still scrambling to finish their summer reading, parents are looking for inexpensive school supplies that will last throughout the year. To keep your bank account balanced and stay within your budget, here is a list of organizations that have Cincinnati back to school giveaways. The Cincinnati Children’s Hospital will provide the District with physicians to perform physical exams on-site and Empire Beauty School as well as other independent barbers will provide on-site haircuts for students in need. There will also be dental screenings, door prizes, raffle giveaways, school supplies, popcorn, snow cones and glitter tattoos. The event is open to all preschool through fifth grade students in Colerain Township.

Teen Time: Make Your Own Stress Ball

Don’t let the back to school blues get you down.  Make your own stress ball and just squeeze the stress away.  For ages 10-18. No registration needed.

 

Although these places are more than happy to give all they can to those in need, they can also use an occasional helping hand. Most of the places listed above are open to receiving donations so they can give to a larger audience. If you have a few empty notebooks, coloring supplies, backpacks, pens and pencils lying around, feel free to go to call and donate.

Cincinnati Museum Center now offers $2 tickets to EBT cardholders.

Volunteers of America is especially asking for donations of school supplies and backpacks to be made. Please download the supply list and fill the backpack. Donations must be dropped off by August 9 at one of their locations
