Cincinnati Cancer Advisors (CCA) is an independent oncology consultation practice that provides platinum-level consultative oncology services to nearly 600 Greater Cincinnatians annually – all at no cost to the patient and without insurance billing. Through secondary case review and meticulous care coordination, CCA ensures personalized care for every patient.

CCA’s clinicians examine patients but do not administer treatment, so there is no effort to recruit patients. About the Comprehensive Evaluation Process
Steps to Receive a Cancer Consultation
Patients are asked to complete the Second Opinion Request Form or call CCA at 513-731-2273. Submissions will be reviewed daily. Once consult requests are reviewed and selected, the patient will be contacted by telephone or e-mail within 24 hours. The patient’s consult will then be scheduled.
What to Expect During the Consultation
If a patient chooses to move forward with a consultation, the CCA team of expert cancer advisors will actively listen to their concerns and carefully study the diagnosis. Then, the experts will design a clearly communicated cancer second opinion, which will include:
- Connection to trials or other treatment options, if warranted
- Important primary data, treatment options, and research options
- A full physical examination during in-person visits
- Direct, rapid communication with the patient and the existing physician team
- Suggestions to get the patient the best care options in the world
- Completing a survey afterward to help continue to improve services.
Financial Assistance for Cancer Patients
Cincinnati Cancer Advisors has partnered with the Patient Advocate Foundation (PAF) to offer a Financial Navigation Program. The Financial Navigation Program provides navigation assistance with financial and practical challenges. Whether a patient needs help understanding coverage options, finding
resources for financial aid or resolving issues with the insurance company, CCA is here to help.
