Cincinnati Museum Center at Union Terminal makes it easier for guests from all backgrounds to have impactful experiences. Those experiences often include the Duke Energy Children’s Museum. The museum participates in Museums for All, a program that provides museum admission discounts for families presenting SNAP or Medicaid cards.

Any person presenting a current SNAP, EBT, or Medicaid card and photo ID can purchase admission to the Duke Energy Children’s Museum for just $2 per ticket. This offer is valid for up to 10 individuals. Also, entry includes free parking.

 

Families can splash around for just $2 per ticket as they explore the principles of water. Also, families can try their hand at veterinary medicine, complete with lab coats and X-rays, and floss giant teeth as they brush up on proper oral health in the Duke Energy Children’s Museum.

The Cincinnati Museum Center is open Thursday – Monday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

 

About Museum for All

 

Museums for All is a national program that offers discounted museum admission for families with food assistance (EBT) cards. This program is a cooperative initiative between the Institute for Museum and Library Services and the Association of Children’s Museums that offers access to children’s museums for people of all backgrounds, regardless of income. Museums for All will make CMC available to many families more effectively by providing significantly reduced admission during the entirety of the museum’s operating hours.

About Cincinnati Museum Center at Union Terminal

 

Opened in 1933, the Cincinnati Museum Center is a one-of-a-kind, multi-museum complex inside Union Terminal. Union Terminal is a historic Art Deco train station and national landmark. It inspires people of all ages to learn more about the world through science, regional history, and educational experiences.

 

The Cincinnati Museum Center’s major offerings at Union Terminal include Cincinnati History Museum, the Cincinnati History Library, and Archives.  Also, it consists of the Duke Energy Children’s Museum, Natural History Science museum, and the Robert D. Lindner Family OMNIMAX ® Theater. Similarly, patrons continually enjoy the traveling exhibits and dinosaur hall. Most noteworthy, it is Cincinnati’s most important cultural institution, with more than 1.4 million visitors annually.

The exhibits support and complement the state-of-the-art collections and research facility, the Geier Collections & Research Center, and educational programs. Also, the exhibition supports professional development programs for teachers, day and overnight camps, public lectures, tours, and cultural events.

 

The Museum Center’s collection encompasses over 1.8 million artifacts, artworks, and archives. In addition, it collaborates with the Ohio Chapter of the Nature Conservancy to protect the 16,000-acre Edge of the Appalachia Preserve System. As a result, it provides critical habitats for more than 100 rare plant and animal species. Another key factor, the Eulett Center acts as a research and education facility at the Preserve.

 

Indeed, the Cincinnati Museum Center will be known for its world-class learning experience and commitment to the past, present, and future. Its staff research capabilities expand opportunities for educational programming.
