Red Bike Go monthly membership pass is $5 for SNAP, HEAP and PIPP participants.

Cincinnati Red Bike Go Monthly MembershipMay is Bike Month and Red Bike is launching Red Bike Go, a discounted $5 monthly membership program to ensure everyone has access to the bike share system.  This program will help more people go where they want to go—for health and wellness, transportation and recreation.

Cincinnati Red Bike Go Monthly Membership is available to residents in the Greater Cincinnati Area, who receive food assistance (SNAP) or energy assistance (HEAP and PIPP) or are clients of partner organizations and agencies. Program participants can sign up for Red Bike Go.

For $5 a month, Red Bike Go pass holders receive a member card and have unlimited 90-minute bike rides for 30 days. Participants can pay month-to-month or set their pass to auto-renew every month at the same price. Payment can be made with a credit card, debit or bank card, most prepaid cards, or cash. Payment cannot be made with an EBT card.

Cash payments must be made in person, either at an outreach event or at the Red Bike Shop on a weekday by appointment. Cash renewals can be dropped off at Red Bike during weekday business hours and at Red Bike Go events. Contact Red Bike Go Manager Elese Daniel at 513-621-2453 for more information about cash payment options.

Beginning this month, Red Bike is deploying a Street Outreach Team to help spread awareness about Red Bike Go and the benefits of bicycling and bike share at events throughout the city.

This past Fall, Red Bike worked with The Voice of Your Customer to conduct focus groups and surveys with the African American community residing in the Red Bike network and Greater Cincinnati. The study documented the knowledge, awareness and perceptions of bike share; identified barriers to using bike share; and, determined the most effective ways to promote the use of bike share. The report will be shared on Red Bike’s website later today and it is also available by email.

Recommendations from The Voice of Your Customer report were used in the crafting of Red Bike Go and more broadly into the Red Bike mission.

The Red Bike network covers two states and four cities—Cincinnati, Covington, Newport and Bellevue—with 57 stations and 440 bikes. Since launching in 2014, Red Bike has had more than 320,000 rides.
