Community Impact Report details how Cincinnati Children’s brings care closer to home

Cincinnati Children’s has issued its fifth annual Community Impact Report, which highlights the health system’s strong commitment to child health supported by excellence in clinical practice, research and training.

The report notes that Cincinnati Children’s recently opened several innovative locations to bring care closer to home:

The Brandon and Kelly Janszen Union KY building, our first Northern Kentucky location to offer both primary and specialty care. The Boone County facility features important complements to primary care—including behavioral health counselors, lab services, X-ray and ultrasound—along with specialty clinics.

In Kenton County, we opened our first Northern Kentucky urgent care at the renovated Crestview Hills location, allowing families to see a medical provider who specializes in pediatrics after normal business hours or on weekends.

In Ohio, our new Eastgate location provides improved access for families in Clermont County and other counties east of Cincinnati as well as parts of Northern Kentucky and West Virginia. The building features specialty clinics, behavioral healthcare that includes partial hospitalization services, outpatient surgery and an urgent care open evenings and weekends. Eastgate also offers X-ray and ultrasound, lab services, a pharmacy and a nutrition clinic.

“Some of the same surgeons and other medical providers who care for pediatric patients at our main campus in the city now see patients at our new locations,” said Evaline Alessandrini, MD, MSCE, chief operating officer of Cincinnati Children’s.

The Community Impact Report for Fiscal Year 2025 (July 1, 2024–June 30, 2025) highlights the world-class care provided by Cincinnati Children’s 19,500 team members, including thousands who are also involved in medical research—working to develop new treatments and cures that help kids both locally and around the world.

The report also shares that in Fiscal Year 2024, Cincinnati Children’s provided $593.98 million in community benefit services. This included $337 million in charitable patient care and $11.2 million in subsidized health services.
