Allen Temple AME Church

Cincinnati Men's Chorus Concert

The 100+ African-American Cincinnati Men’s Chorus invites you to attend their fundraising concert for college-bound youth

The 100+ African American Cincinnati Men’s Chorus announces that they are once again embarking on another exciting endeavor to support deserving African American youth. Their goal is to help high school students attend the 2018-2019 Black College Bus Tours. The tours will be departing from the Tri-State area to historically black colleges in order to provide valuable experiences for young people.

Join them for a spirit-filled concert on Sunday, December 9, 2018, at 5:00 p.m. at Allen Temple AME Church located at 7030 Reading Road, Cincinnati, OH 45237. Admission is free and open to the public. Donations for the cause are accepted.

The members are asking for all male chorus/quartets, soloists and men’s choirs to come together in the ‘spirit of unity’ to support African-American youth in this benefit concert. Your contribution will truly make a difference in someone’s life.

About The 100+ African American Men’s Chorus
The 100+ African American Men’s Chorus, sponsored by L.E.V.E.L. (Let Every Vessel Enjoy Life) and under the leadership of Mr. Henry L. Benefield, was founded to foster positive images of African American Men in our community. For so long, the primary images that are seen in local media of black men have been that of degrading characteristics. For so long, there has been nothing done to celebrate the accomplishments of black men and the formation of the 100+ African American Men’s Chorus allows these accomplishments to be noticed world-wide.

Due to past large participation, since 2011, they have been able to support black college tours in the area. Through the collective efforts of these men, the 100+ African American Men’s Chorus has assisted over 850 high school students in attending a tour and expects to surpass those numbers.

Black college tours are successful because they foster and encourage youth to have a greater pursuit for higher learning.
