United We Stand Presents 2020 Women’s March Cincinnati on January 18!

In 2017, United We Stand Cincinnati (UWSC) sparked a movement in Cincinnati supporting the fight for justice, human rights, women’s rights, and progressive causes. The March & Rally will serve as a sister March to a number of marches held across the country including Washington, D.C. under the March On umbrella.

This march is FREE and open to the public. The site has not identified the route as of yet. Continue to check the official website for more updates about this event.

About More than a March – 2020 Women’s March Cincinnati
In 2020, everyone knows how high the stakes are and this event will set the stage for women and allies to rise up and take control. The March & Rally will be presented in two parts; part one will feature a few local leaders and community activists, music from MUSE, and end with a one-mile march. Upon returning to Sawyer Point Park after the March, the second part of the event will feature speakers that include local candidates who are running for public office and other community activists.

Throughout the March & Rally, participants will be able to talk to local organizations who have tables at the event, and will have access to several local food trucks. United We Stand Cincinnati has held two successful marches in 2017 and 2018. Both marches had over 14,000 participants.

While the Women’s March is an annual one-day event, the movement it sparked has gained momentum, fueled by anti-women legislation, income inequality, and a series of high-profile sexual abuse and harassment cases. Thousands of #MeToo stories have flooded social media and traditional media and we’ve seen dozens of investigations, firings, and resignations of powerful men finally facing consequences for their anti-woman behavior.
