We are excited to announce we are now accepting applications for the second cycle of Black Empowerment Works. Just like last year, there are two ways to take part in the program: (1) apply to be a grantee and (2) apply to serve as a reviewer – one of the people responsible for selecting the next grantees.

GRANT OPPORTUNITY
Each year, we seek to fund a diverse portfolio of ideas and programs representing different focus areas, organizational structures and communities. This grant opportunity is open to nonprofit organizations, for-profits/social enterprises, community coalitions and groups, and individuals who meet the eligibility requirements. Applicants may submit only one application per year, with request amounts ranging from $2,500 to $25,000.
Deadline to Apply: July 8 at 11:59 p.m.

REVIEWER OPPORTUNITY
In the Black Empowerment Works program, community members make the investment decisions. We seek to bring together a diverse and engaged reviewer pool with representation across age, race/ethnicity, gender, geography, experience and perspective. No prior experience is required! All reviewers will receive training to prepare for the opportunity.
Deadline to apply: June 18 at 5:00 p.m.

• Answer your questions.

All three information sessions will cover the same content. Note: The May 14th and 17th sessions will be Zoom meetings and the May 21st session will be live streamed on Facebook and YouTube. You will receive links and login information via email.
