Cincinnati Black Theatre Company presents Black Nativity
Black Nativity articulates not only the story of Jesus’ birth, but also the splendiferous sound of Gospel music! The production is a commemoration of how many celebrate the amazing story of Jesus being born of the Virgin Mary both nationally and internationally. The spirited performance is presented with a taste of African American flavor.
The “Black Nativity” is a recurring favorite and CBTC is elated to feature a new exhilarating and diverse show each year. The production is filled with impactful sounds of music, praise and worship, song and dance, bursts of energetic, astounding costuming, and prophetic storytelling! What a grand experience this will be. See the enjoyment that so many others have for years. You don’t want to miss CBTC bringing the true meaning of Christmas to light with inspirational music and dance!
About Black Nativity:
The “Black Nativity” originated in 1961 and was performed Off-Broadway by Langston Hughes. The modified celebration of the birth of Jesus exhibits more than just another Christmas production. This illustrious story is filled with joyfulness as it expresses one of the Bible’s most prevailing narratives that took place in Bethlehem over 2,000 years ago.

Tickets to Black Nativity:
Tickets to Black Nativity are $20 for children and seniors and $30 for adults.
COVID-19 Guidelines:
Guests are required to provide proof of full COVID-19 vaccination or negative COVID test results. Masks must be worn. Find a location in Hamilton County for free daily COVID-19 testing and vaccinations.
