Cincinnati African American Chamber Back to School Giveaway is set to help 200 local students.
The Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky African American Chamber of Commerce located in Walnut Hills is hosting a Back To School supplies giveaway for 200 area students.
The Chamber and its members will provide basic school supplies from its headquarters location at 2945 Gilbert Avenue. The giveaway starts at 1 p.m., and will continue as long as supplies last.
“We understand the challenges parents face in preparing their children to return to school,” says African American Chamber President & CEO Eric H. Kearney. “Our goal is to emphasize the importance of preparation in creating a supportive learning environment.
The Black business community supports education and establishing a strong foundation for students. Although we are limited in our ability to reach all students returning to classrooms, we wanted to at least give 200 students the tools they need to start their school year.”
“The response from our members, sponsors, and the community has exceeded expectations,” adds Kearney. “We are grateful for their support.” Contributors include: Speedy Signs, First Financial Bank, Swain Consulting, OneBridge, and The Herring Group.
So grab your family and friends and join Cincinnati African American Chamber in their back to school giveaway. This is an annual event that helps so many. You do not want to miss it.
