Cincinnati Children’s invites middle and high school students and their families to explore science and research during Discovery Day on Saturday, May 16.
The event will begin with lunch, followed by tours of a working lab at our Burnet Campus and the Discover Together Biobank in our new Research Pavilion. Participants will also learn about 3D printing and respiratory therapy as they meet with Cincinnati Children’s healthcare providers and researchers.
“Discovery Day is a great way to let young people know about the many career opportunities available in healthcare and hospital settings,” said Monica Mitchell, PhD, a pediatric psychologist who is Cincinnati Children’s assistant vice president for Community Relations. “We hope that by meeting health professionals and scientists, young people will be inspired to pursue careers in science, technology and medicine.”
When: Saturday, May 16, 11 am-3 pm
Where: Cincinnati Children’s Burnet Campus, 3333 Burnet Ave., Cincinnati, OH 45229
Families and youths may register by May 9. Space is limited.
