About Village Life Outreach Project
The mission of Village Life Outreach Project is to unite communities to promote Life, Health, and Education. By partnering with the villages of Roche, Nyambogo, and Burere in the Rorya District of Tanzania, East Africa, Village Life implements sustainable projects to fight poverty and improve health, water quality and quantity, and educational outcomes.

About Founder Christopher Lewis, M.D.
After his 2003 trip to Tanzania, Dr. Christopher Lewis completed his residency and began building his practice with the group that became UC Health’s Primary Care Network. However, his urge to return to Tanzania grew stronger and stronger. As a result, Chris’ idea transformed from one person’s vision of helping into a full-fledged non-profit, non-government organization.
