Classical Roots: 20th Anniversary
August 15 @ 4:00 pm
$14 – $55
The CSO and Members of the Classical Roots Community Choir join forces to lift Cincinnati up with song!
Celebrate 20 years of Classical Roots with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra at Music Hall. A lasting collaboration among the CSO and several prominent African American church partners produced concerts to celebrate and amplify the many contributions of Black composers, artists and musicians to the American musical landscape.
John Morris Russell conducted the first of many Classical Roots performances and returns to the podium for this 20th-anniversary concert with hits from The Isley Brothers, Duke Ellington, James Brown and more.

Music Hall Parking:
While we know that parking in our vibrant, active neighborhood can be a challenge, we work hard to make parking as easy as possible for our audiences at Music Hall. There are several parking options around Music Hall including a 450-space underground garage at Washington Park. Also, a surface parking lot is available between Music Hall and Memorial Hall. It is accessible from Elm Street and Central Parkway. If you would rather be closer, convenient parking is available at the Town Center Parking (CET) Garage on Central Parkway. The cost ranges from $5-$10. Pricing is not controlled by the CSO and is subject to change at any time.
About Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra:
