The Contemporary Dance Theater performance will feature music from Duke Ellington, Roy Davis, Jr. and more!

The Contemporary Dance Theater is proud to have the innovative and unique Ronald K. Brown / EVIDENCE as their opening show. GRACE will be the centerpiece of this program, and the additional concerts will feature works from Mr. Brown’s 34-year history of choreographing and directing of his company.   Stay tuned to the Ronald K. Ticket prices for the Contemporary Dance Theater performance range from $25-35 and can be purchased online, at the Aronoff Center Ticket Office, or by calling 513-621-2787. There is an early bird discount available through December 26, showing ticket prices to be $21.50 – $30.50.

About Ronald K. Brown: EVIDENCE
GRACE, originally created for the Alvin Ailey Company, is celebrating its 20-year history and will be the centerpiece of this program.  GRACE, with music by Duke Ellington, Roy Davis Jr., and Fela Anikulapo Kuti, presents the story of a Goddess’ journey to Earth, with angels as aides, to spread grace among humans.  The rest of the program will be decided and posted at a later time.


Contemporary Dance Theater 2019-2020 Season
The Seldoms: April 3-4, 2020 – Floe, The Seldoms’ new dance-theater work about the climate crisis made in collaboration with playwright  Seth Bockley,  is about warming oceans, the vanishing of Arctic ice, oil extraction, and madness and delusion.


Area Choreographers Festival: June 5-6, 2020 – Contemporary Dance Theater 2019-20 Season will conclude with its presentation of the Area Choreographers Festival.   Local choreographers will bring new choreography to the Aronoff Center’s Jarson-Kaplan stage.
