The 5th Annual Ezz Fest will be held at Laurel Park on October 1.

 

Cincinnati Parks Foundation and 7 Hills Neighborhood Houses invite all to attend the 5th Annual Ezz Fest in Laurel Park on October 1!

This year’s festivities include the reveal and dedication of the new Ezzard Charles statue and plaza. Other activities include a five-mile race, community parade, live music, vendors, face painting, bounce houses, food from Ollie’s Trolley, and much more!

Cincinnati Cobra Race:

Follow in Ezzard Charles’ footsteps by participating in the Cincinnati Cobra Race, which kicks off a great day of festivities! West End residents can participate for FREE.

7 a.m. – Cincinnati Cobra 5-Mile Race Packet Pick-Up
7:30 a.m. – Cincinnati Cobra Race start time
9:30 a.m. – Race awards per category

 

Statue Dedication Area at Laurel Park:

Gather at the basketball courts near Laurel Park Playground. Follow the second line to the Ezzard Charles Statue site for the historical statue reveal and dedication!

9:45 a.m. – Community Parade (meet at basketball courts near Laurel Playground)
10 a.m. – Pre-program entertainment by Tracey Walker
10:30 a.m. – Program Begins
11:30 a.m. – Statue Reveal

 

Ezz Fest:

It’s time to celebrate Ezzard Charles’s legacy and the West End’s rich history! Ezz Fest will feature local vendors, swag bags, live music from DJ Re-Run, Jazz Renaissance, and Positive Vibe! There will be fun family activities including face painting, activities with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, t-shirt printing, and more! Ollie’s Trolley will even be providing free food.

Noon – Free food service begins
Noon – 3 p.m. – Live music
2 p.m. – Free food service ends
3 p.m. – Event Ends
