About Elementz
Elementz is an urban oasis of hope and catalyst for change for Cincinnati’s inner-city youth located in Over-the-Rhine. Our partner, ArtsWave, is the lead planner, promoter and fundraiser of the arts through donations from tens of thousands of individuals and companies.

“We are committed to a diversity of arts experiences and the many ways the arts champion a more diverse and vibrant world,” says Alecia Kintner, President & CEO of ArtsWave. Additional support from The Carol Ann and Ralph V. Haile, Jr./U.S. Bank Foundation, the Cincinnati Music Festival by P&G, The Taft Research Center at the University of Cincinnati, and the Ohio Arts Council.

Because of these efforts, Elementz is excited to announce news of a series of public concerts and events presenting local art and artists from Cincinnati’s own hip hop community. With the overall theme of “Thrive”, we hope to inspire and captivate Cincinnati in a series of cultural events that include: Three Hip Hop-inspired performances that are to be held at the Woodward Theater.

These concerts will feature top performing conscious hip hop and spoken word artists drawn from Elementz and the local hip hop community. Thrive will also feature the area high school poet finalists in the annual Spoken Word competition, “Louder Than A Bomb.”

For our first concert, Hip Art, we’re showcasing our internal artists that have grown and truly developed their craft over the years. You’ll expect to hear captivating lyricism and witness alluring hip hop dance. So come join us Thursday, September 19th at 8 p.m.
