The Cincinnati Music Theatre will make the Hunchback of Notre Dame play come alive.

From the Academy Award-winning team of Alan Menken and Stephen Schwartz comes a lushly scored retelling of Victor Hugo’s epic story. Set in 15th century Paris, this powerful story focuses on Quasimodo, the misshapen but gentle-souled bell ringer of Notre Dame, who is held captive in the bell tower by his devious caretaker. On the day of the Feast of Fools, Quasimodo manages to escape and join the boisterous crowd of revelers. He is treated cruelly by all except the beautiful and free-spirited gypsy, Esmeralda. During his one day ‘Out There’, Quasimodo must strive to find love, acceptance and what it means to be a hero. The Cincinnati Music Theatre will present this story for audiences to enjoy.

The Hunchback of Notre Dame will be playing at the Aronoff on the following days:
Friday, May 10th – 7:30 p.m.
Saturday, May 11th – 7:30 p.m.
Sunday, May 12th – 2:00 p.m.

Thursday, May 16th – 7:30 p.m.

About Cincinnati Music Theatre
One of Cincinnati’s oldest and most successful community theaters, Cincinnati Music Theatre is proud of its long history of presenting popular, large-scale, award-winning musicals in the Greater Cincinnati area.

It was in the early ’60s when Cincinnati Music Theatre founder Will Breyer chose a select group of individuals to propose the formation of a new Music Theatre Group. Also, in an era when community theatres weren’t producing large scale musicals, this new organization chose to dedicate themselves to perform in a medium otherwise unobtainable.
