Kennedy Heights Arts Center Spring Break Camp creates elaborate art installations with paper gardens.

Send your child for an exciting week of fun and creativity as they learn about art installations and transform the KHAC Annex Gallery into an elaborate paper garden. They’ll be cutting, folding, and twisting paper into fantastical botanical creations and creatures! This installation will then be open to the public on Saturday, March 30th as part of ArtsWave Days, a free community event, so that other people can continue to add to the garden.

The cost for this camp is $175 and is catered to ages 5 – 12. There is a fee sliding scale for families with financial needs. Extended care is available each day from 2:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. for a fee of $10 per day/per child. Your child(ren) can be registered online, or by calling 513-631-4278.

Camp Hours
Camp runs from 9:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

As stated, the camp will be held in the new Carl, Robert, Richard and Dorothy Lindner Annex located a half-block from our main facility. This 2,900 square foot event center has an open floor plan perfect for the creation of the elaborate paper garden that participants will work on in camp.

Led by instructors Mindy Burger and June Pfaff Daley, camp participants can expect to grow not only artistically, but creatively in a welcoming environment that promotes diversity. This camp also inspires people to collaborate with others and promotes community interaction across all cultural and economic groups. This is not only an educational camp about art but also helps to build interaction between fellow campers to create inspiration for their art. At KHAC, everyone has a voice, and we want that to shine through art. Individuality is something that will also be at the forefront of the camp, with each camp participant having the opportunity to create their own piece of the elaborate paper garden!
