About Lalah Hathaway
Lalah Hathaway, born Eulaulah Donyll Hathaway on December 16, 1968, in Chicago, Illinois, is a Grammy-winning American singer, songwriter, and producer renowned for her rich contralto voice and genre-defying artistry. The daughter of soul legend Donny Hathaway and classically trained vocalist Eulaulah Hathaway, Lalah began piano lessons at age three and later honed her craft at Berklee College of Music, where she released her self-titled debut album in 1990, featuring the hit single “Heaven Knows.”
Over her career, she has seamlessly blended R&B, jazz, gospel, and neo-soul, earning multiple Grammy Awards, including Best R&B Album for Lalah Hathaway Live in 2017. Known for her unique ability to sing various notes simultaneously—a technique called multiphonic singing—Hathaway continues to innovate, with her latest album, VANTABLACK, released in 2024. Beyond her musical achievements, she is also recognized for her philanthropic efforts, notably her advocacy for breast cancer awareness and education initiatives in underserved communities.

Bag Policy
All guests are subject to a bag inspection. Small clutch bags are allowed if they are no larger than 6″ X 9″ and do not need to be clear. Clear bags are permitted if they are no larger than 12″ X 12 X 6″.
