Showing the city what intentional inclusion looks like, Revolution Dance Theatre is proud to make their debut in Our Turn at the Cincinnati Aronoff Center!

Our Turn is a celebration of tomorrow’s ballet starting today. With a focus on diversity, the concert features an ensemble of pre-professional Black ballerinas and dancers performing a mixed-rep concert set by some of the area’s most influential choreographers.  With a heavy showcase of classical and contemporary ballet, this show is defying stereotypes, challenging cultural norms and providing us a glimpse of the hopeful future of ballet! Featuring 3 World Premieres from 3 very different choreographers, this concert will show off our incredible dancers and is the perfect Black History Month celebration. In addition to Our Turn, check out their other events over the Cincinnati Aronoff Center 2019-2020 season, shOUT! and Black, Brown, and Ballet.

This show will take place at the Cincinnati Aronoff Center Jarson-Kaplan Theatre. Ticket prices range from $20 – $65 and can be purchased online or by calling 513-621-2787.

About Revolution Dance Theatre
Revolution Dance is an African American dance company and non-profit organization dedicated to building cultural diversity in the world of dance, particularly ballet. While dance studios may be commonplace in any town, Revolution takes the extra step of working to level the playing field so that minority students and children from low-income families can have their shot at participating in this beautiful art form.

They strive to create an environment where students can and will thrive. Their wonderful staff is dedicated to making the dance craft accessible to every student with the passion and potential to learn. Whether it’s providing transportation to class, subsidizing class payments, providing proper dance attire etc…they go the extra mile but only for the dancer who’s willing to walk that mile with us. Their students are expected to exhibit high levels of commitment to their training and do the work necessary to perform at the degree of excellence.
