The gripping psychological thriller that inspired the 1948 Alfred Hitchcock and Jimmy Stewart film of the same name gets a tantalizing new adaptation. Brandon and Lewis, two privileged young men, commit a calculated murder, then host a dinner party for the victim’s acquaintances in the very room where the body is hidden.
Convinced they are intellectually superior, the killers believe it is the “perfect murder” and getting caught is impossible. As the evening progresses, tension builds from one moment to the next as Brandon grows bolder, testing his cleverness, and Lewis gets nervous, becoming increasingly erratic. Will they get away with murder? Rope will captivate fans of crime dramas and suspense-filled thrillers and leave you breathless.
ADVISORY
Rope is recommended for teenage and adult audiences. As two young men attempt to get away with the perfect murder, the tension builds for the audience – and the killers – as conversations touch on murder and death leading to depictions of violence and a gun onstage.

Parking
Convenient parking is available in the Playhouse garage and can be purchased in advance by calling the Box Office at 513-421-3888 or as an add-on when you purchase tickets online. This is strongly recommended as parking may be sold out on the day of the show, and parking space is extremely limited in Mt. Adams. Advanced garage parking costs $15, except in December when it is $20. Drive-up garage parking is $20 (if available).
If you prefer to find free parking on surrounding streets, please allow plenty of extra time. Very limited free parking is available (where marked) on streets surrounding the Playhouse. Eden Park officially closes at 10 p.m. As a grace period to the Playhouse and its patrons, the police will not ticket vehicles until one half-hour following the end of a performance.
