Born in Mexico and later rooted in San Francisco, he rose to prominence during the late 1960s music scene. His breakthrough performance at Woodstock introduced global audiences to his vibrant, percussion‑driven style.

Early albums such as Abraxas solidified his influence and expanded the reach of Latin rock. His career reached new heights with the Grammy‑winning success of Supernatural in 1999. Santana continues to inspire listeners worldwide through his commitment to musical exploration and cultural unity.

About Doobie Brothers

The Doobie Brothers are an American rock band known for blending rock, soul, country, and R&B into a distinctive, harmony‑rich sound. Formed in San Jose, California, in 1970, the group quickly built a loyal following through energetic live performances. Early hits such as “Listen to the Music” and “Long Train Runnin’” helped establish their place in the evolving rock landscape.

The band entered a new era in the mid‑1970s when Michael McDonald joined, adding a smooth, soulful influence that shaped chart‑topping songs like “What a Fool Believes.” Their ability to evolve while maintaining strong musicianship contributed to decades of continued success. Today, The Doobie Brothers remain a celebrated touring act with a lasting impact on American music.
