Spyro Gyra Jazz Concert
September 10 @ 8:30 pm
The Ludlow Garage
$40 – $70

Spyro Gyra will be live at Ludlow Garage on September 10th. You do not want to miss this!
Spyro Gyra is an American jazz fusion band that was formed in Buffalo, New York, in 1974. The band’s music combines jazz, R&B, funk, and pop music. The band’s name comes from Spirogyra, a genus of green algae that founder Jay Beckenstein had learned about in college.
Spyro Gyra is an unlikely story of a group with humble beginnings in Buffalo, NY who has continued to reach an international audience over forty years, resulting in sales of over 10 million albums and having played over five thousand shows on five continents.
They have accomplished this due to a forward-looking approach combined with the work ethic of an underdog, always challenging themselves to do something new while never resting on past success. It has proven to be a recipe for the longevity of this jazz group while music has gone in and out of styles in ever shorter cycles.
