Enjoy art, fashion and music and the magic of the community at The Midwest Regional Sweet and Natural Fest.

The Midwest Regional Sweet and Natural Fest, an outdoor festival that celebrates ethnic beauty, culture, community and love, is happening again this spring. This year’s event includes an even bigger cultural marketplace filled with ethnic goods from beautiful clothing straight from Africa and handmade jewelry and crafts with a live DJ as the day’s backdrop.

The festival is FREE to the public. This year’s theme celebrates black Greek culture and our contributions to higher education with a presentation on the history of the Divine 9 and a step show by several sororities and fraternities.

There is parking in the garage under Washington Park for a fee. This event is one that is intentional about promoting vitality and culture. Small business owners, designers, and artist from all over the Midwest and as far as Chicago will showcase health and beauty products, jewelry, attire and artwork to the attendees. Community organizations will also have the opportunity to give informative and educational presentations to everyone in attendance.

Celebrating ethnic beauty is one of the events main focuses. The Brown Girls Project Beauty Lounge and Thairapy Elite Hair Studio’s Bar will be doing live demos and answering beauty and grooming questions all day.

AfroSwag Fashion Show and Natural Hair Exhibition will take the stage once again to wow you. It is a day jam-packed full of family-friendly fun which will also include an afternoon of lawn games, yoga on the lawn and performances on the main stage.

“I wanted to highlight economic mobility, collectivity, and admiration for ethnic beauty in a family friendly and very vibrant atmosphere,” said Daphney Thomas, of The Midwest Regional Sweet & Natural Fest. She expects continued growth as the community begins to buzz at the beginning of every spring about what may be in store at this culture positive and community rich event. Over people attended last year’s event.

The Midwest Regional Sweet & Natural Festival is in its 4th year in Cincinnati. For more information call us at 513-418-3510 or log into Sweet and Natural Fest
