The Stylistics – R&B and Soul Concert
The Philidelphia-based band, The Stylistics, will perform live at the Ludlow Garage on July 28.
The stylistics keep the ‘70s sound alive with phenomenal music and stage performances. From a small start in the ‘60s to performing worldwide, this band brings a lot of experiences to the stage. Don’t miss this chance to see a legendary band perform classic songs live in person.
Tickets
Tickets to the Stylistics’ performance cost $45-$75. Doors open at 7 p.m., and the show starts at 8:30 p.m.
About the Stylistics
The Stylistics was formed in Philadelphia, PA, in 1966 from two groups, The Percussions” and “The Monarchs.” When members from each group were drafted, the remaining members joined forces and changed the name to “The Stylistics.” After working locally for a few years, the group was approached by Bill Perry about a recording opportunity.
The band’s first song, “You’re a Big Girl Now,” was recorded at Virtue Recording Studio in Philadelphia. The song quickly grew in popularity and note, soon becoming the #1 hit in Philadelphia and other cities.
