Job Description

A typical day in an Early Intervention Physical Therapist’s life involves enhancing young children’s and their families’ lives by offering comprehensive, evidence-based interventions that promote physical development and overall well-being.

Your day will often involve providing direction and answering specialized questions via email, Zoom meetings, phone calls, or in person during home visits in the child’s natural environment/setting. As an Early Intervention Physical Therapist, you will be crucial in assessing, planning, and delivering physical therapy services to infants and toddlers with developmental challenges.

Your expertise and commitment will empower children to reach their physical developmental milestones.

Hybrid – at-home, in-home visitation, and access to HCDDS Bobbie B. Fairfax Early Intervention: 4999 Kingsley Dr, Cincinnati OH 45227


Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive physical assessments to identify areas of concern and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide evidence-based physical therapy services that address gross motor skills, mobility, and physical development.
  • Collaborate closely with families to establish and maintain therapeutic goals aligning with the child’s needs and priorities.
  • Deliver therapy services in natural environments, such as homes, childcare centers, and community settings.
  • Monitor and document the child’s progress, adjusting intervention strategies to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Educate and support parents and caregivers on exercises, techniques, and strategies to promote the child’s physical development.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of professionals, including occupational therapists, speech therapists, and developmental specialists, to provide comprehensive care.
  • Stay current with the latest research and best practices in pediatric physical therapy.



  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy and state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Compassion, patience, and a genuine passion for working with young children and their families.
  • Meets the Agency’s driver’s insurability requirements of less than 6 points on a 3-year driving record.
  • Must be able to pass criminal background checks and various abuser registry checks.

Compensation & Benefits

  • 35-hour work week, full-time, year-round position.
  • Flexible schedule and hybrid work-from-home/ in-home visitation role.
  • Starting salary range, determined by formula accounting for years of experience: $66,430.00 (no similar experience) to $83,000.00 (10 years experience performing this same job or job with primarily the same duties.)
