Marketing and Communications Coordinator
Job Description
The Marketing and Communication Coordinator (MCC) is a full-time, year-round position responsible for all market promotions, traditional communications, and writing copy for Findlay Market. The Coordinator will help manage all social media accounts for CFFM, assist with customer relations, and support marketing efforts.
The Marketing and Communication Coordinator has a regular schedule of Monday-Friday, with some weekend and evening hours. The Marketing and Communication Coordinator supervises the Communication Associate and Communication Intern.
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for collecting, planning, and executing all Findlay Market holiday promotions.
- Responsible for the collection of promotions related to all Findlay Market special events.
- Responsible for promoting all internal organization-wide programs, including, but not limited to Findlay Kitchen, Findlay Outdoor Market, Findlay Learn, development activities, and Findlay Launch.
- Coordinate with Graphic Design and Marketing Manager for all promotional materials related to promotions, including but not limited to web sliders, postcards, posters, digital graphics, and mailers.
- Manage promotional materials displayed at Market Center, Education Center, Bars, and around market.
- Plan and execute bi-annual shopper surveys, collect data, report results, and provide solutions based on feedback.
- Work with teams across the organization on all promotions of their programs.
- Responsible for writing press releases and media kits, coordinating cooking demos and other media communications to promote merchants, grand openings, upcoming events, and more
- Represent Findlay Market on television, broadcast radio, etc.
- Responsible for ensuring that Market Center Associates have a weekly summary of activities
- Manage the donation request program.
- Responsible for content creation for the monthly newsletter
- Responsible for the Findlay Market website, ensuring that all content is accurate and up-to-date, including but not limited to merchant profiles, website features, event calendars, and copy updates, ensuring that all website copy is current and up-to-date.
- Be on-site for special events, programming, and activations as needed for promotions and communications.
- Serve as a primary tour guide.
- Assist with the management of interns and Associates on the Communication Team.
Education & Experience
- Demonstrated ability to work in a proactively diverse and inclusive organization.
- Interest in Findlay Market and supporting its businesses.
- Minimum of three-year relevant work experiences.
- Proficiency with social media platforms.
- Passion for storytelling – conducting and writing interviews.
- Excellent, proven interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Practical problem-solving and mediation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to share skills and knowledge with others.
- Proficiency with office computer equipment and software.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Continual on-the-job learning is required.
- Associate’s Degree in Marketing, Communication, PR, or another related field.
- Ability to work weekends, evenings, and some non-traditional hours.
Compensation & Benefits
- Four weeks Paid Time Off (5 weeks after two years, six weeks after ten years)
