Psychology Department Program Manager

Job Description

The Psychology Department at the University of Cincinnati is seeking a Program Manager to support the undergraduate Psychology and Organizational Leadership programs.


Job Responsibilities

  • Manage, design, develop, modify, and present programs. Perform program needs assessment and make recommendations.
  • Implement policies and procedures.
  • Maintain budget, prepare contracts, approve and monitor expenditures, and prepare budget requests and financial reports.
  • Act as liaison to internal departments, external entities, and community organizations.
  • May prepare and edit reports and newsletters and develop publication materials.
  • May provide direct and indirect supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff (i.e., hiring/firing, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, approve time off, etc.).
  • Perform related duties based on departmental needs. This job description can be changed at any time.



  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Seven years of relevant work experience and other specialized training can be used instead of education requirements.
  • Three years of relevant experience.
  • Previous work experience in college/university environment.
  • Written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with UC software/systems (e.g., Canvas/Blackboard, Catalyst, CarT)
  • Experience with website management.
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a collaborative, diverse community successfully.
  • Demonstrated success in working in administrative support.
  • Time management and organizational skills.
  • Office environment/no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.
