Psychology Department Program Manager
Job Description
The Psychology Department at the University of Cincinnati is seeking a Program Manager to support the undergraduate Psychology and Organizational Leadership programs.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage, design, develop, modify, and present programs. Perform program needs assessment and make recommendations.
- Implement policies and procedures.
- Maintain budget, prepare contracts, approve and monitor expenditures, and prepare budget requests and financial reports.
- Act as liaison to internal departments, external entities, and community organizations.
- May prepare and edit reports and newsletters and develop publication materials.
- May provide direct and indirect supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff (i.e., hiring/firing, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, approve time off, etc.).
- Perform related duties based on departmental needs. This job description can be changed at any time.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Seven years of relevant work experience and other specialized training can be used instead of education requirements.
- Three years of relevant experience.
- Previous work experience in college/university environment.
- Written and oral communication skills.
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with UC software/systems (e.g., Canvas/Blackboard, Catalyst, CarT)
- Experience with website management.
- Demonstrated ability to work within a collaborative, diverse community successfully.
- Demonstrated success in working in administrative support.
- Time management and organizational skills.
- Office environment/no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.
