Public Safety Project Coordinator
Job Description
The Department of Public Safety is looking for a Project Coordinator to coordinate and oversee various technical projects and guide the project team. This position will report to the Manager of Public Safety Technical Operations and support the University’s mission and commitment to excellence and diversity in our students, faculty, staff, and all other activities.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist with developing program and project objectives and monitor quantitative and qualitative data on progress toward objectives for project completion.
- Provide oversight of the execution, deliverables, and timeliness for all types of Public Safety technical operations projects, including installing, testing, and commissioning security systems, intrusion alarms, low voltage systems, access control, and cameras.
- Effectively coordinate the installation and implementation of end-to-end execution of security integration scopes of work, ensuring timely delivery and handover to clients.
- Act as the single point of contact for project status by communicating with stakeholders and proactively identifying and communicating potential risks and status.
- Coordinate with other departments and contractors to ensure that all aspects of the project are properly integrated.
- Review objectives to identify problems and solutions, prioritize solutions, and develop action steps for program and project improvement.
- Provide administrative support for program and project initiatives. Handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Assist with developing and implementing strategies to engage participants internally and externally.
- May conduct research and other benchmark information to understand all facets of project reach.

Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Five years of relevant work experience and other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirements.
- One year of relevant experience in program or project coordination.
