• Provide instruction to students in both theory and practice incorporating various teaching methods and materials to assist students with differing educational experiences, experiential backgrounds, and learning styles to assist in meeting course competencies.
• Evaluate students’ progress toward stated course competencies and inform them of their progress in a timely manner.
• Provide quality and timely access to students and communicates availability through appropriate methods such as posted campus/office hours and electronic communication.
• Maintain professional relationships with colleagues, students, and the community.
• Participate in non-teaching assignments including, but not limited to, instructional development, academic advising, registration assignments, college-wide and/or division activities and committees, professional development, internal and external service, and other assigned responsibilities determined in consultation with the Dean.
• Teach an average of 15 credit hours each semester. Teaching assignments may be on one or more of the college’s campuses or off-site locations and may include dual credit, evening and weekend programs, online instruction, and other instructional modalities
• Maintenance and care of classrooms and training materials will also be expected.
• Keep abreast of changes in the respective field and help keep the program updated.
• Teach at various levels to help support the College.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:

• Associate degree in Accounting, or Business Administration with accounting coursework, OR a related field with Business Administration and Accounting coursework. Bachelors preferred.
• Two years of work experience in the accounting field or equivalent.
• Experience with Blackboard and teaching online is preferred.
• Experience in and understanding of working with students from diverse populations is preferred.
• Experience working at the community college level is preferred.

Position Conditions:

  • Community & Technical College invites applications for an Accounting/Business Administration Faculty. This 10-month faculty position will provide instruction to students in both Managerial and Financial accounting. Also, may be required to teach other courses as needed in Business Administration.
  • KY law requires state and national pre-employment background checks as a condition of employment.
