Many companies will acknowledge inactive, retired, and active service members of the armed forces with a discount for Veterans Day. Below is a list of free or discounted restaurants, entertainment, transportation, and more to honor veterans this Friday.

 

Veteran Day celebrations even continue into the store or select retailers, offering various discounts in appreciation for military service. To receive this recognition, all U.S. military and retired personnel must bring military identification. Enlisted reservists, retired veterans, or other service members are all eligible for these military discounts.

Restaurant Discounts for Veterans

 

Applebee’s

Veterans and active-duty military can select a free meal from a limited menu for Veteran’s Day.

 

Bar Louie

Veterans and active-duty military receive a complimentary craft burger.

 

BIBIBOP Asian Grill

Veterans and active-duty military with valid ID receive 50% off a bowl for in-store purchases.

 

Biggby Coffee

Veterans and active-duty service members receive a free 24oz brewed coffee.

 

Bob Evans

Veterans and active-duty military will get the choice of one free meal from a limited menu.

 

Bonefish Grill

Bonefish Grill gives out complimentary Bang Bang Shrimp appetizers to military and veterans.

 

Bruegger’s Bagels

Veterans and active-duty military get a free hot or iced coffee (any size) with a purchase in-store on November 11.

 

Buffalo Wild Wings

All veterans and active military members can receive ten free boneless wings and a side of fries.

 

Carrabba’s Italian Grill

Veterans and active-duty personnel receive a free appetizer or dessert and a beverage.

Chili’s

Veterans and active military personnel score free entrées at the chain restaurant, such as chicken bacon ranch quesadillas, oldtimer cheeseburgers, or chili and salad.

 

Chipotle

Veterans can buy one burrito, bowl, salad, or taco and get the second free.

 

CiCi’s Pizza

Cicis Pizza offers a free adult buffet to all active and retired military personnel for Veterans Day on Friday, November 11. The offer is valid for dine-in only, and it does not include a drink. A valid active duty or retired Military ID must be presented at the time of purchase.

 

Cracker Barrel

On Veterans Day, November 11, veterans and active-duty military get a complimentary slice of Double Chocolate Fudge Coca-Cola® Cake, in-store and online, with any purchase. Use code VETSDAY22 at checkout.

 

Dunkin’ Donuts

Veterans and active-duty military can enjoy a free donut with no purchase necessary.

 

Famous Dave’s

Veterans and active-duty military can enjoy a free 2 Meat Combo served with one side item and a cornbread muffin. All Day, Dine-In Only. Valid at participating restaurants. Must show proof of service to receive discount.

 

Golden Corral

Military Appreciation Night will be held on Monday, November 13, from 5 p.m. – close. They will again honor military heroes with a free “thank you” meal. Any person who has served in the U.S. Military (retirees, veterans, active duty, National Guard, or Reserves) with valid ID.

 

Hofbrauhaus Newport Brewery & Restaurant

On Veteran’s Day, All Veterans, Active Duty, and Reservists get a FREE meal at Our Haus all day long. PROST! Offer valid for military members only.  Not valid with any other offers or discounts. Dine-in only.

 

IHOP

Veterans and active-duty military get free Red, White, and Blueberry Pancakes or Pancake Combo on November 11 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Dine-in only at participating restaurants.

 

Krispy Kreme

Military and Veterans get one free donut and a small coffee.

O’Charley’s Bar & Grill

Special free lunch menu on Friday, November 10, and Saturday, November 11. From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day, Veterans can order one of the following free entrées and receive a free slice of pie at dinner. Both offers are for dine-in only.

 

Olive Garden

Active military and vets can choose a free entree from a limited menu on Veterans Day.

 

Outback Steakhouse

Veterans and military families can get a free bloomin’ onion and drink by purchasing an adult entree.

 

Perkins Restaurant & Bakery

Veterans receive a complimentary Magnificent 7 breakfast, including two eggs, two strips of bacon, and three pancakes.

 

Quaker Steak & Lube

All military veterans and active-duty members receive 50% off any entrée.

Red Lobster

Guests with a valid military ID can score a meal voucher from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. for an entrée specific to the holiday: veterans shrimp and chips.

 

Starbucks

Active-duty service members, veterans, and military spouses enjoy a free tall (12-ounce) hot or iced coffee.

 

Texas Roadhouse

Veterans and Active-Duty military can receive a free meal from a limited menu from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

 

TGI Fridays

Get a free lunch menu item up to $12 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Offer for dine-in only.

 

Wendy’s

Free small breakfast combo with valid military ID. No purchase is necessary.

 

Yard House

Veterans and active-duty military will receive a complimentary appetizer with a valid military ID. The offer is valid for dine-in only.

 


Free Entertainment for Veterans

 

National Underground Railroad Freedom Center

Veterans receive free general admission.

 


Free Haircuts for Veterans

 

Great Clips

Veterans and current military members who visit a Great Clips salon will receive a free haircut that day or a free haircut card to use later.

 

Sport Clips

participating locations will provide free haircuts to veterans and active-duty service members with valid proof of service.

 


Retail Discounts for Veterans

 

Dollar General

Veterans and families receive an 11 percent discount on qualifying items in-store and online.

 

Kohl’s

Active and former military personnel, veterans, and their families receive 30% off qualifying in-store purchases from November 10 through 12. A valid military ID is required.

 

Rack Room Shoes

Military and families with valid ID receive 20 percent off their entire purchase in-store only.

 

Target

Target offers a 10% military discount from October 29 through November 11 to all active-duty military personnel, veterans, and their families. The discount can be used on two separate transactions and applies to all in-basket items, online and in-store.

 

The Home Depot

Veterans are offered a 10 percent military discount on in-store purchases of select items.

 

Walgreens

20 percent off for military, veterans, and military families. Walgreens also provides free flu shots for VA-enrolled Veterans.

 


Free Transportation for Veterans

 

Metro

Metro will offer free rides to military veterans. Veterans need to show a U.S. Department of Defense-issued military ID card, Veterans Affairs ID card, or state-issued driver’s license with veteran designation.
