Many companies will be acknowledging inactive and active-duty members of the military for Veterans Day. Below is a list of breakfast, lunch and dinner spots ready to honor veterans with free or discount meals. Veteran Day celebrations even continue into the store of select retailers offering various discounts. In order to receive this recognition, all special persons must bring their military identification.

Applebee’s

Veterans and active-duty Military can select a free meal from a limited menu on Veteran’s Day.

 

Bagger Dave’s
Active, non-active, reservists, retired personnel, and first responders with proof of military identification get one Great American Cheeseburger and fries.

 

Bar Louie
Vets and active military receive a free flatbread or burger up to $5.

 

BIBIBOP Asian Grill
BIBIBOP is offering a free bowl for in-store purchases.

 

Bob Evans
Bob Evans is offering 6 free breakfast items, available all day, and select lunch and dinner options.

Military Veterans with a valid ID are being offered a free six-inch sub on November 11 at select locations. Call or visit your nearest location for details.

National Underground Railroad Freedom Center
Everyone is free on Monday, November 11. Veterans will also receive free general admission from Monday, November 11 through Saturday, November 30, 2019.

 

Haircuts
Great Clips
Veterans and current military members can visit a U.S. Great Clips salon to receive either a free haircut that day or the free haircut card to use at a later date.

 

Retail
Dollar General
Veterans and families receive an 11 % discount on qualifying items in-store and online.

 

Rack Room Shoes
United States Military and families with a valid ID receive 10% off your entire purchase in-store only.

 

The Home Depot
Veterans are being offered a 10% military discount on in-store purchases on select items.

 

Walgreens
20% off for military, Veterans and their families. Walgreens also provides free flu shots for VA-enrolled Veterans.

 

Transportation
Metro
Metro will offer free rides to military veterans to say “Thank you.” Veterans will need to show U.S. Department of Defense issued military ID card, Veterans Affairs ID card or State issued driver’s license with veteran designation.
