Cincinnati Healing Arts is a Black-owned wellness boutique specializing in chiropractic healthcare, functional nutrition, and personal injury rehabilitation. Centrally located in the Avondale Town Center, patients find a spacious, tranquil environment that supports health and healing and retail space for locally made products.

Chiropractic Healthcare

Cincinnati Healing Arts uses chiropractic, a drug-free therapeutic system, to treat spine and nerve injuries. Jamila K. Maddox, DC, adjusts and corrects spinal misalignments using proven researched techniques. As a licensed chiropractor, she uses a hands-on manual therapy technique or a low-force instrument to change based on a person’s orthopedic condition.

Dr. Jamila K. Maddox, known for her gentle effectiveness, also uses several pain-relief therapies, massages, and therapeutic exercises to relieve annoying aches, pains, and muscle tightness. Benefits of chiropractic treatment include better sleep, calmer digestion, enhanced quality of life, a pain-free life, improved nervous system function, and increased energy and vitality.

The Initial Chiropractic Experience

The initial chiropractic experience begins with a new patient consultation and evaluation, followed by pain relief therapies, pain management, a massage, and chiropractic adjustment. New patients are given a ginger turmeric juice tonic while filling out intake forms to educate how pain and inflammation can be reduced naturally.

Two days later, the individual has a virtual visit to report findings, receive feedback, and get recommendations. It’s common for patients to share positive results from the initial chiropractic therapy experience.

Chiropractic Fees

Initial chiropractic experience: $135

Includes a consultation, evaluation, pain relief therapies, massage, adjustment, and virtual follow-up report of findings.

Follow-up chiropractic experience: $85

Includes pain-relieving therapies, massage, adjustment, and therapeutic exercises to increase range of motion.

Cincinnati Healing Arts is an out-of-network provider, meaning patients pay at the time of service. The clinic accepts major credit cards, HSA, FSA, and cash for initial or follow-up chiropractic experiences.

Personal Injury Rehabilitation

Dr. Jamila K. Maddox treats auto accident victims with bio-mechanical joint sprains and soft tissue muscle strains. Chiropractic adjustments and pain relief therapies treat whiplash, painful spinal joints, musculoskeletal issues, lumbar and vertebrae problems, and muscle spasms. Cincinnati Healing Arts also works with attorneys and auto insurance companies for personal injury rehab services.

Untreated whiplash and sprains/strains can result in arthritis, joint pain, muscle imbalance, posture problems, shoulder pain, upper back pain, lower back pain, neck pain, stress, herniated discs, stiffness, chronic pain, and neurological discomfort.

Functional Nutrition

Cincinnati Healing Arts uses science-based nutrition, comprehensive functional nutrition, and metabolic health analysis. A health evaluation with laboratory testing includes foundational blood work, urinalysis, hair analysis, and stool tests. The data measures the body’s deficiencies, inflammatory burdens, and dysfunction.

Test results are the basis of a customized lifestyle action plan. The unique action plan has a real whole-food nutrition foundation. Dr. Maddox teaches people how what is eaten affects weight, pain & inflammation, and overall health. Lifestyle practices such as intermittent fasting, increased water intake, physical activity, quality sleep, vitamins, etc. – are interwoven in the action plan to achieve long-term transformative results.
