Cinema OTR

Cinema OTR is a Black-owned bar and lounge that takes guests on a journey through time. Dedicated to celebrating the best of 90’s R&B, Hip-Hop, and classic Black films, the venue sets the stage for an unforgettable experience. Step in, relax, and immerse in the nostalgia.  

Cinema OTR is owned by Cincinnati native Rico Grant, who is on a mission to strengthen and celebrate Black culture. Rico wants Cinema OTR to be a place where guests come to have a good time on the weekend. Cinema a high-end bar and cocktail lounge, just around the corner from Rico Grant’s other establishment, Gallery at Gumbo.  

Grant doesn’t consume anything new; if it isn’t old, it is not good. The establishment is for fashion lovers who want to have a good time and dance.  

Cinema OTR offers drinks highlighting characters like Sister Mary Clarence (inspired by Whoopi Goldberg’s character in Sister Act). The drink “Nina” is inspired by Nia Long’s character Nina Mosley in the 1997 film Nina. 

Cinema OTR is located in Over-the-Rhine on Vine Street. Washinton Park parking garage is an available option for parking. The dress code is dressy casual.
