Very tasty Senegalese food freshly made. Although there is seating for dining in, this is really a takeout restaurant. Many patrons called in their order for pick up. We stopped for lunch and received a good portion of food for a very reasonable price.
I have never had food like this, and it is so good. I also tried the juices that they sell, and they are a super tasty treat. Darou Salam is a gem and hands down some of the best food I have ever eaten. Plus, the portions are generous.
So very good! Darou Salam is somewhere I am already looking forward to revisiting. I tried the Poisson braise, Poulet braise, and the dibi. All superb! The freshness– the SEASONING. The fish, chicken, and lamb were all cooked to perfection.
It was nice being able to sit in the surprisingly quiet patio area and enjoy a bit of Senegal in Northside.
