Make.Do. is a Black-owned yarn and fabric store in Pleasant Ridge on Montgomery Road that loves being a hub for makers near and far and focuses on amplifying makers of color.

The store is open Tuesday through Friday from noon to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Masks are required to enter the store. If you are high-risk/immunocompromised, please do not hesitate to email to schedule a private shopping appointment!

Make.Do. Classes:

Beginning Knitting: Knitter beginners, start your knitting journey with Make.Do.! This is a two-hour class where you will learn how to knit, the basics of casting on, purling, and creating your first project. All materials included.
Beginning Crochet: Start your crochet journey with Make.Do.! This is a two-hour class where you will learn the basic stitches of the chain, single, double, and triple crochet, and create your first project. All materials included.
Start Your First Sweater: Don’t be afraid; you’ve got this! You’ve mastered the basics of knitting, and now it’s time to level up with your first sweater. This two-hour class will teach you the basics of sweater construction, reading sweater patterns, and getting you well on your way to your first garment. All materials included.

Make-a-Longs:

Join Make.Do. each month as they offer kits with patterns, supplies, and tutorials to make projects such as scarves, bags, shawls, and more.

Make.Do. Book Club:

Join Make.Do. each month for a friendly and convivial conversation, with no need to prepare, beyond having read the book (or listened to it – audiobooks aren’t cheating!).
