New Leaf Counseling is a Black-owned mental health practice specializing in treating anxiety, depression, life transitions, behavioral issues, trauma recovery, family dynamics, gender identity, addictions, and more. Research-based techniques guide clients through problems and challenges while providing emotional and psychological support. The main goal is to lessen the impact of presenting symptoms and provide tools that enable individuals to reach full potential.
What to Expect
Therapists do more than just listen and nod. Counselors are trained in many therapeutic interventions tailored to each client’s needs. Progress happens gradually, at the client’s pace. Therapy is not easy. Sessions are typically 55 minutes.
At New Leaf Counseling, clients are guided to understand specific needs, work through life’s stressors, and use recommended tools for better, fuller lives. Therapists bring a variety of experience, training, certifications, and specialties. Both in-office and online/virtual therapy services are available.

Principal Clinician
Traci Sippel, LPCC-S, is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Xavier University. With 20 years of experience in behavioral sciences, Traci focuses on individual and group therapy using Person-Centered and Cognitive-Behavioral (CBT) approaches. Areas of specialization include working with adults, adolescents, couples, and families to navigate life’s challenges.
Focus areas include depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, anger, career, parenting, and family issues. Specialty training includes Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness, and Motivational Interviewing. Additional training includes certification as a Chemical Dependency Counselor.
