About the Owner
Mahagany Shaw began pursuing tattooing after several years of apprenticeship. A professional tattoo career officially began in 2017. Nearly a decade of experience led to the opening of Pink Palace Tattoo in January 2026, fulfilling a longtime dream of creating a colorful and imaginative studio.
Mahagany’s artistic style draws inspiration from mid-century design, vintage Americana, and playful retro themes. Bold color palettes, clean line work, and expressive compositions define every tattoo. Colorful artwork on brown and Black skin has become a signature of the studio, earning recognition throughout Cincinnati and beyond.
Beyond the Studio
Mahagany Shaw also enjoys painting, sewing, embroidery, jewelry making, toy making, and mixed-media art. Acrylic and watercolor remain favorite artistic mediums outside tattooing. Guest artist appearances and tattoo conventions continue to expand artistic knowledge and professional growth. Recent travel has included Atlanta, Philadelphia, Detroit, Chicago, Virginia, and Tennessee.
