GO(O)D Company Apparel is a Black-owned business that carries premium clothing which encourages individuals to wear who they are and live what they believe. The brand launched in 2014 with a mission to provide a clothing line that represents the customer’s individuality, while attracting the company they wish to keep.
In addition to the online presence through their interactive website, buzz in the city of Cincinnati was generated by participating in local vendor opportunities, pop up shops in Over-The-Rhine (OTR), and collaborating with existing urban apparel stores by requesting their employees wear GO(O)D co-branded shirts during key product launches, such as the Air Jordan brand.
Since their debut, GO(O)D Company Apparel has worked to uphold three important principles:
1. Ensuring all walks of life can relate to the brand.
2. Pushing a positive message in the fashion industry.
3. Wearing a brand that is made to highlight who they essentially are.
Today, armed with a clear vision for the future, GO(O)D Company Apparel is on track for a store and product expansion, collaborations, building a successful printing company and hosting entrepreneurship workshops to further secure themselves as a company known for keeping GO(O)D company.
About the Owner:
Born and raised in Cincinnati, owner Donny is a 2016 graduate of MORTAR Cincinnati—an entrepreneurship academy offering a fifteen-week program for new and existing businesses in underserved and redeveloping communities, giving non-traditional entrepreneurs the opportunity to showcase their talents and positively affect the entrepreneurial growth of Cincinnati.
In addition to owning GO(O)D Company Apparel, Donny is a successful Christian hip hop artist. Following his heart, Donny has been called to lead in many capacities—as a husband, father, entrepreneur, and mentor—but his highest call came in August of 2015 when he became the senior pastor of Love and Grace Outreach, fostering principles rooted in family and community.
Donny’s passion for entrepreneurship is fueled by his family—Ciara, his wife of 15 years, and four beautiful children, Jasmin, Caelyn, Devin, and Micah. They currently reside in the College Hill area of Cincinnati.
