About Marion Meadows
Marion Meadows is an acclaimed American soprano saxophonist and composer who emerged as a defining voice in the smooth jazz genre after releasing his debut album, For Lovers Only, in 1990. A classically trained musician who initially studied clarinet at age eight and later pursued jazz studies at Berklee and SUNY Purchase, Meadows honed his craft under the tutelage of masters like Joe Henderson, Dave Liebman, and Sonny Fortune. Over a career spanning more than three decades—and enriched by collaborations with artists such as Norman Connors, Bob James, The Temptations, and Eartha Kitt—he has released over a dozen albums that garnered widespread airplay and solidified his legacy on the contemporary jazz charts.
