Job Description

Stephen T. Badin High School seeks a full-time Religion Teacher to join our dynamic, dedicated, collaborative faculty in the 2024-2025 school year.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop interactive, intellectually engaging lessons in alignment with curricular and student goals.
  • Analyze assessment data to monitor teaching strategies in relation to student success.
  • Collaborate and assist intervention specialists in providing differentiated instruction per students’ IEP/SP.
  • Provide substantive and timely feedback to students and parents on academic progress via our learner management system, FACTS.
  • Participate in departmental Professional Learning Communities and attend educational conferences/workshops to maintain and improve content, pedagogical and/or technological knowledge.
  • Serve as a mentor group teacher in our Homeroom System and perform other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

  • Candidates should be practicing Catholics, have a strong academic background in Catholic theology, and have relevant teaching experience or specific educational training for high school instruction and pedagogy.
  • The ideal candidate would hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Religious Studies/Theology – a Master’s Degree or willingness to pursue one would be preferred; an Ohio teaching license or Non-tax Certificate; and a Catechist certificate.
  • Candidates will have classroom teaching experience, be lifelong learners, and possess a comprehensive understanding of best practices for educating young men and women.
  • Ideal candidates will be dynamic, personable, energetic individuals who work well with high school students and their families and will be able to help foster each student’s spiritual, academic, social, and emotional growth.

 

Compensation & Benefits

  • The salary range is based on first-year teachers with a four-year degree. Individuals with greater experience and higher educational qualifications could potentially receive higher compensation.
  • Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.
  • We offer a robust benefits package, including personal days, paid holidays, healthcare, dental, FSA, and a 4% 401K employer contribution.
  • The position is full-time; the contract is effective August 1, with orientation and onboarding starting mid-August.
