The Aperture is a Black-owned fine dining restaurant serving Mediterranean cuisine. Food is served “mezze-style,” small dishes portioned as appetizers. Traditions of the broader Mediterranean region of Southern France, Italy, Greece, and the Levant will heavily influence the menus.
Located in Peebles Corner in the heart of Walnut Hills, The Aperture’s ambiance is modern and bright, with touches of Mediterranean culture. Along with the cheerful atmosphere, The Aperture features a private dining area with over 12 seating choices.
The Aperture Menu
Mediterranean classics with a twist adorn the menu. Diner favorites are meal options with Napa cabbage, beef tartare, and focaccia with za’atar. Delicious pasta dishes with branzino, chicken liver, and lamb shoulder are also popular and available.
Along with the diverse seasonal Dinner menu, several specialty cocktails that pair with the eclectic food menu are also offered.

About the Owner, Anthony Brown
Chef and owner Anthony Brown wanted to bring a natural feel to the dining experience. The natural and simple feel is seen in the restaurant’s design. Anthony Brown is also Sous chef at Boca, in Cincinnati.
The name of the restaurant is a photography reference. Brown wanted to bring the idea of light and things that need to be illuminated to the restaurant, hence the bright feel.
The Aperture truly reflects Anthony’s years of experience and expertise. Anthony aims to create meaningful experiences and human connection through intentional and balanced hospitality.
