Be Defined Training & Companion Care is a Black woman-owned CPR training and companion care company. The company, owned by Sherry Beckham, specializes in CPR, AED, and First Aid training courses and companion care for older adults and people with disabilities.

Be Defined Training

Classes are interactive and informative and provide life-saving practices for all walks of life. Upon completing all course requirements, participants will receive a two-year certification card.

First Aid CPR AED

This course trains participants to provide first aid duties, perform high-quality CPR, and use an AED.

CPR AED

This American Heart Association-certified CPR AED course trains participants to perform high-quality CPR and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) safely, timely, and effectively.

BLS for HealthCare Providers

This American Heart Association course trains participants to learn and apply BLS chains of survival. They also will demonstrate the appropriate use of an AED for an adult, child, and infant. It will also teach high-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants.

Pediatric CPR AED First Aid

This American Heart Association-certified course trains participants to apply the pediatric chain of survival and perform high-quality CPR for children. The course will demonstrate the appropriate use of an AED for a child and infants. Participants will also learn first aid duties and critical steps. This course is excellent for teachers, babysitters, and new parents.

First Aid Training

The American Heart Association First Aid course trains participants in the basics of first aid. The basics include how to recognize emergencies, how to call for help, and how to perform life-saving skills.

Be Defined Companion Care

Being there for older family members or ones with disabilities can be hard work. Sherry can help to relieve some of the stress and worries you may have. She had provided care and support for her parents for many years before they passed away.

Sherry can provide emotional support, light housekeeping, help with daily living and personal care, medication reminders, and running errands. Sherry can also play board games and help with range of motion exercises. As a Registered Medical Assistant, Shery can monitor your blood pressure and send your doctor a blood pressure report.

About the Owner

The owner, Sherry Beckham, is an American Heart Association Certified Basic Life Support (BLS) Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and First-Aid Instructor and Private Duty Caregiver.

Sherry has worked as a Registered Medical Assistant at TriHealth Occupational Medicine Clinic and Senior Link Services, Home Health Aide for A Miracle Home Care, and is a Community Health Worker certified by the State of Ohio Board of Nursing.
