Cinsei is a Black-owned manga mafe providing matcha, music, and culture in a safe space for the community. Owned by a husband and wife duo, the manga café is the first Black-owned one in the nation, and the only manga-focused space. Located in downtown Cincinnati, the spot offers a true safe space for the people in the community.

In Japanese, “manga” refers to all kinds of cartooning, comics, and animation. The term reflects a broad storytelling tradition blending illustration, movement, and emotional expression. Manga spans genres including adventure, romance, fantasy, horror, and everyday life.
Manga uses visual pacing, panel design, and expressive artwork to guide narrative flow. Stories often appear in serialized chapters before release as collected volumes. Global influence from manga shapes art, animation, fashion, and contemporary storytelling culture.
