What restaurants are giving away free food for Veterans Day?


Many companies will acknowledge inactive and active-duty members of the armed forces as well as military families with a discount off for Veterans Day. Below is a list of breakfast, lunch, and dinner spots ready to honor veterans for their military service with free or discounted meals. Veteran Day celebrations even continue into the store or select retailers offering various discounts. To receive this recognition, all US military and retired military personnel, must bring their military identification.

If you’re a civilian, currently stationed or enlisted in the marine corps, national guard, coast guard, navy, army, air force, a retired veteran, military spouse, military dependent, or other service members, be sure to check out these military discounts!

BIBIBOP Asian Grill
BIBIBOP is offering a free bowl for in-store purchases.

Bonefish Grill is giving out free Bang Bang Shrimp appetizers to military and veterans.


Boston Market
Veterans and active-duty personnel can get a BOGO deal. Buy one individual meal with a drink and get a second free.


Bruegger’s Bagels
All veterans and active military get a free any-size drip coffee.


Buffalo Wild Wings
Their “Wings for Heroes” means you will receive one small order of wings with a side of fries.


Carrabba’s Italian Grill
Veterans and active-duty personnel receive a free appetizer.

Military and Veterans get one free donut and a small coffee on Veterans Day.

Enjoy a free meal from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at all Logan’s Roadhouse restaurants nationwide.


Max & Erma’s  
Get a free Best Cheeseburger in America Combo, including seasoned fries and a drink. Dine-in only.  


Free meals to all veterans with valid ID. Each meal will feature a choice of sandwiches, drinks, and a side featuring small World-Famous Fries or Hash Browns. Meal options are available online.


O’Charley’s Bar & Grill
Military and Vets get free $9.99 meals all day long on Veterans Day. Choose from Famous Chicken Tenders & Fries, Honey Drizzled Southern-Fried Chicken, Homestyle Chicken Pot Pie, and more.  


Olive Garden
Choose from six popular entrees from Olive Garden’s menu for free on Veterans Day.


Outback Steakhouse
Military Mates and their families can get a free bloomin’ onion and drink.


Panera Bread
All veterans and active-duty military personnel will receive a free “You Pick 2” meal.


Perkins Restaurant & Bakery
Veterans receive a complimentary Magnificent 7 breakfast, including two eggs, two strips of bacon, and three pancakes.


Quaker Steak & Lube
All military veterans, active duty and reservist service members receive 50% off any entrée.



Cincinnati Veteran Assistance Programs



Rapid Fire Pizza
Veterans and active-duty military get a free dessert pizza or Cheezy Bread with the purchase of an entree.


Red Lobster
Get your free appetizer or dessert from their select Veterans Day menu.



Rock Bottom Restaurant & Brewery
Enjoy a free entree from a select Veterans Day Menu.


Active-duty service members, reservists, veterans, and military spouses enjoy a free tall (12-ounce) hot brewed coffee.


Texas Roadhouse
Vouchers for a free meal to all Veterans and Active-Duty military from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Veterans Day. Vouchers will be distributed in the parking lots at participating locations.


TGI Fridays
Get a free lunch menu item up to $12 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Guests will also receive a $5 coupon for their next meal at Fridays. Offer for dine-in only.  


Free small breakfast combo with valid military ID. No purchase is necessary.


Yard House
Veterans and active-duty military will receive a complimentary appetizer with a valid military ID. The offer is valid for dine-in only.



National Underground Railroad Freedom Center
Veterans receive free general admission.



Great Clips
Veterans and current military members can visit a U.S. Great Clips salon to receive either a free haircut that day or a free haircut card to use later.



Dollar General
Veterans and families receive an 11 percent discount on qualifying items in-store and online.


Rack Room Shoes
United States Military and families with a valid ID receive 10-20 percent off your entire purchase in-store only.


The Home Depot
Veterans are being offered a 10 percent military discount on in-store purchases on select items.


20 percent off for military, veterans and their families. Walgreens also provides free flu shots for VA-enrolled Veterans.



Metro will offer free rides to military veterans to say thank you. Veterans will need to show a U.S. Department of Defense issued military ID card, Veterans Affairs ID card or State issued driver’s license with veteran designation.
